The Double Distilleries pure malt whisky is a harmonious fusion of malted spirits originating from both the shuttered Hanyu and the newly established Chichibu distilleries. Rooted in a legacy steeped in sake production dating back to the 17th century, the Akuto family managed the Hanyu distillery until 2000. Regrettably, financial challenges silenced the distillery, leading to its eventual dismantling in 2004 under new ownership.

Bottled at a strength of 46%, this pure malt whisky finds its maturation, blending, and bottling process conducted at Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery.
