The distillery in question is still in the process of honing its craft, and its innovative approach to whisky production is a tale infused with fascination and anticipation. It's a destination that invites visits for firsthand experiences or serves as a comfortable backdrop to savor the fruits of its labor either in a bar setting or within the coziness of one's own home. For a deeper understanding of this distillery's journey, one can delve into the pages of "The Way of Whisky: A Journey of Japanese Whisky" by Dave Broom.

Brought forth by the Chichibu Distillery, this whisky represents a harmonious blend of malt and grain elements. It ingeniously marries single malts hailing from both the Chichibu and Hanyu distilleries, with the possibility of including contributions from Scotch whisky as well.

With this creation, we're presented with what can truly be referred to as "World Blended Whisky," encapsulating a global harmony of flavors and influences that transcend geographical boundaries.

Nose:

Very fruity indeed, apricots and peaches spring to mind. There’s vanilla and citrus, with ripe bananas.

Palate:

Citrus, grapefruit, peaches and apricots again lead the palate with vanilla and a little pepper. Toffee sweetness combines well with roasted nuts and a touch of ginger.

Finish:

The vanilla is a again dominant, still lots of fruity flavours drying nicely on the tongue and back palate.
