The Macallan has introduced a 12-year-old single malt that marks the inception of the Triple Cask range, succeeding the Fine Oak range. This expression, a cornerstone of the new lineup, is matured using a blend of different oak casks. These include European oak ex-Sherry casks, American oak ex-Sherry casks, and American oak ex-Bourbon casks. Bottled at an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%, this whisky is presented in its natural form, unaltered by chill-filtration.
This new release exemplifies The Macallan's commitment to crafting exceptional whisky through the marriage of distinct cask types. The combination of European and American oak casks imparts a multifaceted character to the liquid, while the sherry and bourbon influences contribute their own unique flavor profiles. The result is a harmonious fusion of flavors and aromas, capturing the essence of The Macallan's craftsmanship and dedication to producing high-quality single malt Scotch whisky.
