Located in the Primeaux-Prissey commune at the southern end of the appellation, Clos des Argillières stands proudly among the 41 Premier Crus of the Nuits-Saint-Georges region. This vineyard is an integral part of the larger 'climat' known as "Argillières," and it shares its borders with Clos des Corvées. Notably, Clos des Argillières is characterized by its steep incline, reaching its highest point where it meets the cap rock.
Upon joining Domaine Prieuré Roch in 2009, the plot was already under organic cultivation for a number of years. As a result, it effortlessly integrated itself into the collection of the domaine's most expressive "terroirs." This seamless transition further solidified its reputation as one of the most distinguished and meaningful parcels within the estate.
