Situated on the Isle of Skye in Carbost, Scotland, the Talisker distillery is an emblematic Island single malt Scotch whisky distillery. It operates under the stewardship of Diageo, a prominent name in the whisky industry that also owns other renowned distilleries such as Lagavulin, Cardhu, Cragganmore, and Mortlach, among others. The distillery's origins date back to 1830, and it was subsequently rebuilt in 1880. The distillery's malted barley is sourced from Muir of Ord.
A distinctive attribute of Talisker lies in its employment of swan neck lye pipes, an uncommon feature in the industry. These pipes incorporate a unique loop that facilitates the early condensation of vapors before they reach the worm tubs, effectively allowing a portion of alcohol to re-distill within the stills. The current production capacity of Talisker stands at three and a half million liters of spirit per year.
Talisker Storm, a compelling offering from the distillery, encapsulates the unbridled allure of the sea with its robust maritime character, radiating elemental potency and self-assuredness.
